That moment when you realise... everything is pointless :)

To be clear... I wasn't having a bad day. Just one of those moments no-one sees in the final slick edited videos. I found it v funny. In fact, a huge amount of what I record ends up on the virtual cutting room floor. I couldn't share a lot of it in case my language offended anyone. 😜

Funnily enough Dave, I for one know exactly what you're talking about, so don't beat yourself up so much 😩

Heh heh. Don't worry Barry, I wasn't having a bad day. It just amuses me how this dawned on me only when it got to recording. :)

I can ONLY totally agree with you... No matter how many times or ways you ask, even in the simplest and most rudimentary of terms, you get the feeling that people do not understand.

And sometimes, you realise quite a way down the path that what you wanted to teach them was totally pointless anyway. :)

Mannnnnn this speaks to me so much. I’ve literally had to rewrite entire lessons because I realised my explanation was just pointless and weak!

At least you still create them, Dave! I don't for fear none of what I say is of interest! πŸ˜ƒ

Loving it Dave! It’s that slow realisation while you’re talking that you’ve just lost the plot for a minute haha! Man, the amount of times I’ve literally just sat there shaking my head at myself on the camera!

Dave .... I remember a time back to before 2000 and the first Dot Com Boom when everyone was talking about how the internet opened the door for every business to connect 'one-on-one' with their customers. While that might of been the case in theory, it's actually not the case in reality.

What we'd like to think we are saying - or writing, to the customer, is not actually what they are necessarily hearing or perceiving. In other words it's a little like when we hear a recording of our own voice for the first time(especially singing .....) .... and for most people the first reaction is "s__t, do I really sound like that?".

So here we are 20 years later .... and times have changed so much. 20 years ago a teacher reading on of our web pages would have picked up on a typo or spelling mistake. That rarely happens anymore .... those teachers (the same people who are teaching our kids to read) don't actually read too much themselves these days. For many, any more than 4 sentences is too much. I only mention that because our Tech Support is regularly answering questions for more information..... information that is already there on the page.

Anyway watching your video reminded me of the importance of focusing on doing what makes you feel like you are achieving ... because it is that fulfillment that brings the inner happiness.

Take care and keep smiling.

Oh this made me laugh so much! Haha, glad I'm not the only one who does this! You really must make a montage of 'bloopers'

Oh, I can so relate... right now recording lessons for online course and I´ve lost the plot too many times. Without editing my recordings could often be sent to funniest homevideos 😜.
